The island of Ischia is the largest island in the Gulf of Naples. Often overshadowed by the neighboring island of Capri, Ischia is undoubtedly a place worth visiting. Also known as the “green island”, Ischia really has a lot to offer to its visitors.

The island has a strong historical value, not to be missed is a visit to the village of Ischia Ponte and the Aragonese castle, linked together by a narrow and charming bridge, which is very romantic and pleasurable. Visitors who arrive in Ischia should not miss a visit to Mount Epomeo, 780 Meters high, providing unique views of the sea and surrounding beauties.

The beaches are numerous and all very beautiful. One of the most renowned and biggest beaches, approximately 2 kilometres, is the Maronti Beach, in Barano. In the Forio part of the island, instead, you’ll find the beach of Citara and Lacco Ameno which master San Montano Bay. Much of the shoreline is within the nature reserve “Kingdom of Neptune” and its waters are a unique beauty, of a crystal clear tone.

Ischia is a place full of life, that you surely decide to visit it for its beaches, for the fantastic thermal baths and for its beautiful waters, a place not to be missed. Young and old will find everything in Ischia, everything from trendy places to relaxing spots and simply all kinds of fun.
