Berlin is probably, together with London, one of the major European capitals full of life and opportunities to have fun and spend some time discovering interesting places. Things to do and see are numerous, mainly because the city is very large.
Among these things we must mention, without doubt, the Brandenburg Gate. Berlin’s symbol par excellence, is the only door that allowed access to the city and it has remained intact. In addition to the Brandenburg Gate, of important significance are the museums of the city.
Exhibitions and galleries are about 170 and they range from classical to modern art. The Agyptisches Museum, is the most famous Egyptian Museum known, the Museum Fur Volkerkunde, the Pergamon Museum and the national galleries, Alte und Neue Nationalgalerie.
Also worth visiting is the city’s Mitte district, the city center. Here, one breathes the air of Berlin artists, streets and museums that make this part of town alive as it was back then.
Among the places to go for shopping and souvenirs head for the most famous street in the city: the Friedrichstrasse. Tourists congregate here and easily find memories to bring back home, thanks to eccentric shops and friendly markets.
Regarding nightlife, come visit Kroezburg, where local artists of different kinds animate the evenings, or go to the Mitte district at Potsdamer Platz, where the Berlin film festival takes place.
